Introduction

Kalinchok (Nepali:कालिन्चोक) is one of the biggest Bhagwati Temple and one of the most sacred temple of Hindus which lies in Kuri village. Kuri lies in Kalinchok Municipality of Dolakha District which is around 3,640 meter height from sea level. It is around 150 km from the capital Kathmandu.

                            Kalinchok is not only famous for the temple but also famous for the sceneries which we can see from there and snow as well. Lots of people go to this place in winter season to play snow. During the time of snowfall the vehicle from out barely reaches Kalinchok. There are local vehicles tied with chains and spikes in tire to have a grip in the snow.

How can we reach Kalinchok?

The major way to rich Kalinchok is by road. There is an airport at Jiri (headquarter of Dolakha) but it is a bit far from Kalinchok (around 60-70km). So we can take differen1t vehicles from Kathmandu and in which we can rich there at around 6-7 hours.

The bus usually costs around 3,600 rupees, jeep around 5,000 rupees and car around 20,000. Mainly they also covers, lunch and dinner whereas it will be cheaper if you are in group.

The next ways you can reach there is chartering a helicopter which is a bit costly. You can chose any of the way you like.
